William O'Rourke

William J. O’Rourke, age 89 passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his residence at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls. He was born March 12, 1920 in Barron County to Arthur & Anna (Berg) O’Rourke. After graduating from High School, Bill worked as a dairy farmer in the New Auburn area and got married to Geraldine Rolstad in 1947.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine, one son: Ret. Cornel Joseph O’Rouke of Sarona; two grandchildren: JoAnna and Joshua; nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Ida Traynor-Diekmann and Marion Rediger.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with David W. Olson officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 starting at 1:00 PM up until the time of the service. Internment will take place at the Bloomer City Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to all of the staff at the Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center for their years of wonderful service and loving care of Uncle Bill.
