William L. Fair, age 83, of Eau Claire, passed away at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Chetek on October 1, 2022. Bill was a dreamer and true to himself. He lived life enjoying his skill of painting scenery, reading the history and travels of the world, teaching youth Sunday School and calling himself a vagabond of the world.
He is survived by his brother: Loa Fair; sister: Loraine Faschingbauer; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse and Gladys Fair; brothers: Edward, Harry, Jesse and Jack; sisters: Betty Roush and Laura Vainio.
It was William’s wishes there be no funeral service and his ashes will be spread to the four winds. The next time you are enjoying a cup of coffee and taking in the sunset, think of Bill.
