Wayne L. “Skeeter” Stolt, age 58, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the MCHS Bloomer Hospital. He was born January 6, 1955 in Chippewa Falls to DeWayne and Darlene (LaGesse) Stolt. He married Cheryl Goettl on August 15, 1981 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Skeeter was a career truck driver both on and off road for Menards and HT transport but his true passion was in electronics, better known as “Skeetronics”, working with TV towers, satellite dishes, and cell phones. He was a past president of the Bloomer Rod and Gun Club and in his free time enjoyed hunting and telling stories with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother: Darlene of Bloomer; his wife: Cheri of Bloomer; three brothers: Gary (Rita Stolt of Bloomer, Roger (Kim) Stolt of Albert Lea MN and Billy (Jennifer) Stolt of Bloomer; two sisters: Mary (Doug) Gervais of Bloomer and Carol (Randall) Schick of Chippewa Falls; in-laws: Vernon (Eunice) Steinmetz of Bloomer, Clement (Bertha) Goettl, Clarence (Emily) Meinen, Mike (Beverly) Goettl, Leonard (Kathy) Goettl, Al (Nancy) Goettl and Randy (Marilyn) Bowe all of Chippewa Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: DeWayne Stolt; one: son: Lucas Wayne Stolt; one Brother: Loren Stolt; two sisters: Susie Stolt and Kerry Stolt; Grandparents: Ottman & Agnes (Kirkman) Stolt, Edward LaGesse and Elsie (Whitsell); in-laws: Albert and Veronica (Swoboda) Goettl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church In Bloomer. A visitation will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Friday, May 17, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a Christian Wake Service at 7:30. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Tilden. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
