Wayne R. Raven, age 65, passed away at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer on February 8, 2012. He was born February 3, 1947 in Chippewa Falls WI to Robert and Mary (Anderson) Raven. He married Susan (Gafner) Borseth on December 22, 1990. He was the owner and operator of Raven Custom Machining and then later Raven Sharpening Service. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a skilled woodworker, mechanic and handyman able to fix almost anything. In his free time Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting and spending time with his family and friends

He is survived by his wife: Susan of Bloomer; one daughter: Melissa (John Anibas) Prince of Chippewa Falls; one step-son: Robert (Jean) Borseth of Colfax; two step-daughters: Tammy (Jeffrey) Pope of Eau Claire and Sally Borseth of Holcombe; one brother: Keith Raven of Hayward; three grandchildren: Amanda Curtis, Samantha Prince and Kelsey Prince; one great-grandson: Carter Curtis; three step-grandchildren: Wayne, Serena, Alexis and Payton Pope; three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. There will be no visitation Friday evening.
