Wallace A. Buchner

Wallace A. Buchner, age 94, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer. He was born September 12, 1922 in Colfax to Carl and Florence (Lueck) Buchner. He married Marie Balow on April 3, 1948 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Wallace worked as a dairy farmer all of his life and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Eagleton. He enjoyed working with the land and animals, especially the horses, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one daughter: Jeanette (Travis) Welch of Cornell; one son: Gary (Susan) Buchner of Roseville MN; granddaughters: Bobbi Jo (Royce Abbuehl) Kiblen and Kelly Jo (Jay) Sippy; great-grandchildren: Michael Kendall, Carter Welch and Ethan Sippy; sister-in-law: Aline Buchner of Bloomer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years: Marie, brothers: Arnold, Herbert and Elmer Buchner.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00 – 7:00. Interment at the Bloomer Cemetery will take place at a later date.
