Virginia  C. Greife

Virginia C. Greife, age 90, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Rice Lake WI. She was born July 23, 1926 in Milan, Kansas to Ada F. (Rose) and W. Frank Williams. She married Claude Greife on June 7, 1943 in San Antonio TX. She lived in central Illinois until 1972 when she moved to Eau Claire where she owned and operated Guys and Dolls Beauty Salon until she retired in 1990. She was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ and the Bloomer Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron for three terms. She enjoyed reading, painting, sewing, doing crafts and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by children: Richard (Mary) Greife of Antigo WI, Daniel (Sheryl) Greife of Brooklyn Center MN, William (Kris) Greife of Minnetonka MN and Mary Louise (Bob) Stoeklen of Birchwood WI; one half-sister: Arlene Phelps of Winslow IL; one half-brother: George Brown of Beardstown IL; 13 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ada and Frank Williams; her husband: Claude; sister: Mary Stringer; half-brother: Al Brown..

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
