Violet Huhn

Violet S. Huhn, age 87, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls. She was born March 29, 1924 in Hannibal WI to Clyde and Lulu (White) Wallace. She married Michael Huhn on December 25, 1942 in Holcombe, WI. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, bird watching, traveling the entire United States and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband: Michael; one daughter: Eva Rihn of Bloomer; one son: Robert Huhn of New Auburn; one brother: Archie Wallace of Colfax; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Betty; four sisters: Sylvia, Ethel, Fanny and Minnie; two brothers: John and Clyde Wallace.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Pastor Jeannie Warner officiating. Interment will be in the Holcombe Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Tuesday at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
