Vernetta Clements

Bloomer Vernetta L. Clements, age 62, passed away at the Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester MN, on Sunday, February 3, 2013 after a long fight with leukemia. She was born to Vernon and Helen (Sickora) Nelson on January 27, 1951 in Chippewa Falls. She married George Clements on August, 30 1969 in Cooks Valley. She was a domestic engineer caring for her four children and husband. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, camping, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: George; children: Brian Clements, Kevin (Stacey) Clements, and Stacy (Matt) McManus all of Bloomer, four brothers: Samuel (Charlotte) Nelson of Bloomer, Mike Nelson of Bloomer, Richard (Diane) Nelson of Colfax and David (Melissa) Nelson of Chippewa Falls; four sisters: Yvonne Rubenzer of Bloomer, Crystal (Charles) Jasper of Chippewa Falls; Rosalie (Ricky) Berg of Chippewa Falls and Mary (Terry) Ojibway of Chippewa Falls; six grandchildren: Austin, Blake, Autumn, Georgia, Joelle and Bristol, numerous nieces nephews other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Helen; son: Georgie; brothers: Bruce Nelson and Howard Hebert; granddaughter: Shelby; brother-in-law: Junior Rubenzer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 12:00 PM at St. Johns Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. There will be a visitation from 10:00-12:00 PM on prior to the service on Wednesday.
