Obituary for Tressa M. Davis (Cole)

Tressa M. Davis, age 98, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Atrium Health Care in Bloomer. She was born October 19, 1918 in Barron County to Alfred and Edna (Stanford) Cole. She married Clifford M. Davis on April 5, 1936 in Sand Creek WI. Tress worked at the Bloomer Brewery, the Bloomer Creamery and cooked for Barthens and the Knotty Pine. Tress was a very social person. She could carry on a conversation with anyone and loved being surrounded by people. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, cooking, baking pies and playing cards (especially Tic).

She is survived by sons: Dick (Sandi) Davis of Chisago City MN and Jeff (Deb) Davis of Prescott WI; daughters: Bette Kerckhove of LaCrosse WI, Arlene Kolmer of Lakeville MN, Gail Gray of Anoka MN, Judy Davis of Bloomer, Jenny Davis-Farlow of Bloomer and Teresa (Nico) VanMeer of the Netherlands; sisters-in-law: Ethel Stanford of Milwaukee and June Davis of Hood River OR; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred and Edna Cole; her husband: Cliff; sister: Jessie Lueck; grandchildren: John Kerckhove and Lorrie Hammad; sons-in-law: Larry Kolmer and Sam Farlow.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran church in Bloomer with a visitation two hours before the service at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
