Todd J. Zwiefelhofer, age 51, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.
Todd was born on September 17, 1972 in Bloomer to Leon J. and Kathleen A. (Dachel) Zwiefelhofer, the baby of the family. “Sweets” attended Bloomer High School and graduated with the Class of 1991. On July 27, 1996 Todd married Amy Michaelis at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer and with that marriage came a “No return policy” insisted upon by his family. Amy had to keep him forever!
To say that Todd was a sports enthusiast would be an understatement. Todd loved his Wisconsin teams: Badgers, Brewers and Packers, in that order too. He would even change his attire multiple times a day to show his support for that team playing in the afternoon or evening. Todd was proud to be a 100% stubborn German and loved to make dumplings and sauerkraut. He also had a huge heart for his fur babies and enjoyed collecting Cuckoo clocks.
Todd is survived by his wife of 27 years: Amy Zwiefelhofer; fur babies: Luke, Aspen, Olive and Tommy the turtle; siblings: Kevin (Kelly) Zwiefelhofer, Craig (Debbie) Zwiefelhofer, Deon Zwiefelhofer and Denise (Chris) Pake; nieces and nephews, Alyson and Alex (Desiree) Zwiefelhofer, Jordan, Jacob (Kayla Bowen), Alyssa, Joey, Jason, Justin, Joshua and Anna Pake, Anika and Noella Michaelis, Alex, Eli and Kenzie Volrath, and Madison Sather; aunt: Alice Madson; mother-in-law: Kären Klund; siblings-in-law: Ben (Heather) Michaelis, Katie (Nate) Volrath and Sean (Vanessa) Harrison; godfather: Denny Bowe; numerous other aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Leon and Kathleen Zwiefelhofer; aunt: Marilyn Bowe; godmother: Alice Karr; father-in-law: Allan Michaelis; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
To show your love for Todd, please wear your comfortable Wisconsin sports attire -but Vikings fans will be turned away :)
