Todd Thornton

Todd Charles Thornton, 74, passed away peacefully in his home in Bloomer, Wisconsin on September 19, 2026. Todd was the middle son of five boys born to the late Charles Sherman Thornton and Jane Granberg Thornton of Bloomer.

Todd was a born-again Christian, having accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior late in life. In the last months of his life, although he suffered with respiratory problems and other health issues, he remained positive, upbeat and encouraging. Todd was a compassionate, giving soul who showed God’s love to others. In his last days, in his own way, he told others what Jesus had done for him.

His greatest joy was riding motorcycles with friends along the beautiful, peaceful countryside with spacious corn fields and dairy farms. Todd was a talented, retired Draftsman. He treasured his cat Buddy (a female), and they entertained each other like old friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jane Thornton, brother Scott Thornton, Brent Thornton and Brad Thornton.

Todd is survived by his brother and sister-in-law David and Chris Thornton, nephews Jason - (Tammy) Thornton, Monticello, GA and Ashley (Terry) Thornton, Watkinsville, GA, nieces Melissa Thornton Jeffers, Hampton, GA and Bethany Thornton (Brad) Franks, Jackson, GA and Uncle and Aunt Neil and Barbara Granberg, Amboy, Minnesota, and cousins.

A memorial service will be planned for family and friends in the near future.
