Thomas Goettl

Thomas Goettl, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley on Friday, August 13, 2010. He was born on March 1, 1951 to George and Opal (Schwab) Goettl in Chippewa Falls WI. He married the love of his life, Dianne Loew, on September 18, 1971 in Chippewa Falls. Tom worked as a cheese maker at the Jim Falls Dairy and at Select Pallet in Bloomer. Tom loved searching for treasures with his metal detector, hunting, fishing, spending time at Giessler Plumbing and could not be separated from his K-9 companion Cookie. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife: Dianne of Bloomer; daughter: Kimberly (Troy) Schell of New Auburn; brother: Conrad (Lolly) Goettl of Cadott; brother in laws: Jerry Dawson of Menomonie and Duane (Wendy) Loew of Bloomer granddaughters: Erica (Dustin Kragness) Schell and Erin (Robert Wohld) Schell; great-granddaughters; Christina Marie Wohld and Jordynn Lynn Kragness

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sherry Dawson.

Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Interment will take place at the North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer following the service.
