Terry Joe "Tubby" Hyke

Terry “Tubby” Hyke, age 61, passed away at his home in rural New Auburn on Saturday, March 5, 2016. He was born on February 27, 1955 in New Hampton, Iowa, to John and Goldie (Weigel) Hyke. He worked at Todd’s Redimix in New Auburn and then later was the owner/operator of TJs Restaurant in New Auburn. He was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn and enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, buying scratch-offs and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his siblings: Larry (Becky) Hyke of New Auburn, Jerry Hyke of Bloomer and Connie (Ben) Lewis of Chippewa Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Goldie Hyke and one brother: Gary Hyke.

A Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery.
