On a beautiful fall day with the loves of his life by his side, Steve Winfield, age 64, passed away at peacefully at MCHS in Bloomer on Monday, October 07, 2019. He was born on September 7, 1955 to Orville and Ruth (Gussarson) Winfield in Kenosha Wisconsin. He married Sharon Henneman on September 10, 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer and together they raised 3 daughters; Katie, Emily and Anna. Steve worked as a carpenter for most of his life and enjoyed the simple beauty of Wisconsin, especially the sunrises and sunsets. He could be found drifting around Rock Lake on his old pontoon hoping to catch the big one, only to throw it back. Steve loved to travel as long as he had the love of his life by his side, whether it was Vegas, Hawaii, NASCAR, a road trip to look at the fall leaves, or the occasional trip to the casino, Steve and Sharon loved being together. Steve took joy in making little kiddos giggle and playing with Tinker and his grand puppies. He had a huge soft spot in his heart for his granddaughter, Kora Rae and looked forward to his Tuesday play dates with her. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon of Bloomer; three daughters: Katie (Drew) Zehm, Emily Winfield, Anna (Chris) Hilger all of Bloomer; granddaughter: Kora Rae Pehlke; brothers: Edward (Kathy) and Daniel (Myra) Winfield; sister: Kathy (Jan) Rogers; special nephew: Austin Henneman; numerous other nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Orville and Ruth; in-laws: Kenneth and Eileen Henneman; brother in-law: Russell Henneman
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The celebration will continue at the Moose Lodge in Bloomer following the service. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
