Steve Hanson

Steven H. Hanson, 58, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. He was born November 30, 1951 in Stanley, WI to Vernon & Helena (Faschingbauer) Hanson. He married Sue (Bowe) Woolever on June 25, 1999 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Steve proudly served in the United States Air Force and worked in production at Pliant Manufacturing in Chippewa Falls. After working for Pliant, Steve was a truck driver for Wausau Homes. He enjoyed being a Disc Jockey on WOJB in Hayward and listening to honky-tonk music, gardening, canning, fishing, and going antiquing.

He is survived by his wife: Sue of Bloomer; step-daughter: Carrie Woolever of Bloomer; step-son: Scott (Krystal Swenby) Woolever of Bloomer; seven brothers: Gerald Hanson of Stanley, Thomas (Gloria) Hanson of Brick NJ, Kenneth Hanson of Wheaton IL, Clayton Hanson of Yucca Valley CA, Roger Hanson of Las Vegas, Wayne Hanson of Minneapolis, Eugene (Nancy) Hanson of Lakewood CO; one sister: Marilee (Kenneth) Szymoniak of Eau Claire; special companions: Peanut & Buddy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
