Stanley J. Lang, age 19, of New Auburn, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2026, while doing what he loved most — fishing.

Stanley was born on January 27, 2007, in Eau Claire, to Jergen and Jody (Meindel) Lang. He attended New Auburn Schools and graduated with the Class of 2025.

Stanley was a young man of many passions, talents, and strong character. During high school, he was actively involved in Football, Basketball, Track & Field, Baseball, FFA, SkillsUSA, Lakeland National Honor Society, Shop Club and Snow Club. He approached each activity with enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong sense of teamwork. Stanley was currently a student at the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

Stanley also had a special love for animals, showing kindness and compassion that reflected the gentle nature of his heart. His strong Christian faith was an important part of his life, guiding him with strength and humility. Stanley touched countless lives with his caring heart, determination, patience, and contagious smile. Whether he was helping a neighbor, supporting his friends and family, or spending time outdoors, Stanley always brought light and positivity to those around him.

Stanley is survived by his parents: Jergen and Jody Lang of New Auburn; siblings: Chester, Arthur and Katheryn Lang; paternal grandparents: Julian and Terresa Lang; maternal grandmother: Sandra Hutchens; uncles: Gus (Andrea) Lang and Allen (Valerie) Lang; aunt: Amy (Randy) Lauritzen, numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Steven Meindel and Jeffery Hutchens.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the New Auburn High School Gymnasium. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass on Thursday. Interment will be held at a later date. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements. 

The family is grateful to all of the dedicated volunteers and professionals that assisted with the search and recovery of Stanley. Bruce’s Legacy, we can’t thank you enough for your efforts in bringing Stanley home.
