Sondra Shuman

Sondra L. Shuman, age 73, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was born March 20, 1940 in Savannah GA to James Oscar and Lucy Belle (Barbaree) Purcell. She loved to read, especially her Bible. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, bird watching and never missed a chance to sing “Happy Birthday” over the phone to her children and grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons: Bruce Lyons of Savannah GA and Ricky (Barb) Lyons of Chaska MN; three daughters: Deborah (Ronnie) Deckard of Houlton WI, Jackie (Jim) Hicks of Bloomer and Keri (Bill) Flahive of Austin MN; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Daniel Eugene Lyons and Kenneth Lee Shuman; one sister: Marcene Vianne Purcell and 2 grandchildren: Michael Lee Deckard and Patricia Ann Flahive.
Private family services will be held at a later date
