Shirley June Ronnestrand

Shirley June Ronnestrand, 81, formerly of Bloomer, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Avow Hospices in Naples, Fla.

Shirley was born February 14, 1927 to William and Marion (Comstock) Miller. Shirley was married to Robert Ronnestrand in Bloomer on July 27, 1949, and became a Cosmetologist in 1947. Shirley and Robert were the former owners of the Pines Ballroom, and White Pine Steak House. Shirley also owned and operated Shirley’s Institute of Hair Design and Cosmetology and Beauty Shops in Eau Claire and Key Colony Beach, Fla.

Shirley is survived by daughter Roberta (Richard) Ronnestrand-Blaes of Naples, Fla.; son, George (Shelly) Ronnestrand of Holcombe, Wis.; four grandchildren: Luke (Kelsey), Erin Ronnestrand, Samantha Blaes and Stephanie Blaes; three sisters-in-law: June Balow of Eau Claire, Leona Ronnestrand, and Ila (Warren) Madison of Bloomer.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents, William and Marion; as well as four brothers: Lloyd, Chuck, Lyle, and Harold (Curley) Miller; and two sisters: Eva (Crandall) and Norma (Taylor) Miller.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Shirley’s Life to be held August 16 from 1-4 at the home of George and Shelly at Lake Holcombe.

Interment of cremains will be this summer in the Bloomer Cemetery.
