Sherman Calvin Cutting, age 82, of Edgerton passed away unexpectedly at Edgerton Hospital on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Sherman was born in Colfax in Dunn County, WI to Hiram and Tilla (Tweed) Cutting on June 24, 1931. He attended school in Colfax, WI and was united in marriage to Ellen Marie
Paulus on January 5, 1952. He farmed in Bloomer, WI and worked as a wood cutter and mink farmer, drove milk trucks for Hugh Miller, Whitewater and Irv Gullickson Trucking in Deerfield, WI. He started Sherm Body Shop in 1967 and ran the business for 35 plus years. He was a long time member of the Edgerton Lions Club. He enjoyed attending stock car racing, bowling, hunting, playing "cards," spending time with family and friend, and restoring old cars.
Sherman is survived by three daughters: Joyce (Richard) Brown of Janesville, Christy (Greg) Olson of Edgerton, Betty (Tom) Ruosch of Whitewater; two sons: Larry (Janet) of Edgerton, Douglas (Linda) of Edgerton. Also nine grandchildren: Tina (Lyle), Jeremy (Cheryl), Tara (Mike), Jake, Eric, Nick,
Amy Amber; and five great grandchildren; two sisters: Ella Lundequam and Ethel Fjelstad-Nelson; two brothers: Grant and Wallace and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ellen, two infant sons, five brothers: Warren, Eldred, Rueben, William, and Frank (Cathrine); and grandson Michael Olson; brother-in-laws: Joel Lundequam, Spencer Fjelstad, Connor Nelson, Robert Rediger.
Visitation time will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, WI. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Bloomer. Interment will be in the American Cemetery following the service.
