Sharon Olson

Sharon J. Olson, age 71, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born August 25, 1938 in Bloomer to Frank & Maxine (Bemel) Babbitt. She married John Olson on April 20, 1957 in Rice Lake. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, Altar Guild, Quilter’s Guild, Bloomer Red Hat Society and was a mentor at the Bloomer Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one son: Daniel (Kelli) Olson of Chippewa Falls; three daughters: Kim (Edward) Prochnow III of Lake Zurich IL, Kari Rowley of Chippewa Falls & Kathryn (Craig) Klund of Chippewa Falls; two brothers: John (Carol) Babbitt of St. Paul MN & Frank (Cornellia) Babbitt of North Brook IL; one sister: Jeanne (Robert) Burns of Phoenix AZ; five grandsons and three granddaughters; special friends: Lisa Wood & Ann Gallager families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John;

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Pastor Paul Oppedahl officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 7:00 on Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
