Sandra Schwab

Sandra M. (Bowe) Schwab, age 74, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, after a short illness in Orlando, Fla.

Sandy was born on June 6, 1949, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls to Cyril and Jane (Zenner) Bowe. Sandy went to St. Paul’s Catholic School through 5^th grade until the family moved to Barron, Wis. Sandy graduated from Barron High School with the Class of 1967 then went on to graduate from the school of cosmetology in Eau Claire. In September of 1968, Sandy married David Schwab at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. In 1973 they moved to Rice Lake where Dave and Sandy found better employment. Years later they separated, and Sandy moved to Florida where her daughter Jody and parents lived. Later, she met Bill Roy and together they bought a home in Kings Ridge, Clermont, Fla where they lived until her passing. Sandy enjoyed golfing, playing cards and cooking.

Sandy is survived by her children: Raquel (Mike) Fogarty, Jody Schwab (Robb), and Mike (Sarah) Schwab and their father: Dave Schwab; her mother: Jane Zenner Bowe; one grandchild, Myah Grace Schwab; loving companion: Bill Roy; sisters: Judy (Dan) Lee, Mary Schwab and Nancy Stodola; brother: Peter (Mary Lou) Bowe; nieces and nephews: Brian, Brad, Tara, Karen, Danielle, Nickolas, Tony, Stephanie, Adam and Jessica; brothers-in-law: Alan Schwab and Daniel (Judy) Schwab; uncle: Don “Dick” (Glenna) Bowe; and many other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Cyril Bowe in 2022; maternal grandparents: Earl and Agnes (Schmidt) Zenner; paternal grandparents: Art and Alfreda (Steinmentz) Bowe; uncles: Orville, Roger and Thomas Bowe; and brother-in-law: Chuck Schwab.

In Memory of Sandy, a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Pines Ballroom in Bloomer. Lunch will be served around 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Tilden, Wis.
