Sandra Ann Johnson

New Auburn Sandra Ann Johnson, age 85, passed away on April 25, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.

Sandy was born on December 31, 1940 to Gerald and Henrietta (Frasl) Heagle. She lived in rural Bloomer and graduated from Bloomer High School.

In 1959, Sandy married Harry Ludwigson and raised 4 children on a farm in rural New Auburn. She worked on the farm until they divorced. She took several jobs working at Plant Marketing, Sears in Eau Claire and sold Avon for many years. Her current job was sewing bar stool covers and benches in Bruce WI. Sandy loved taking care of the farm cats who greeted her at the door every day. She enjoyed gardening, trying new recipes, bargain hunting and bumming all over!

Later in life, Sandy married Delmar Johnson. Their trip of a lifetime was when they traveled to Alaska in a motorhome. He passed in 2007 and she lived on the farm until her passing.

She is survived by her children: Cindy (Jim) of Bruce WI, Tammy of New Auburn, Greg (Jolene) of Weyerhauser, WI and Terry (Ann) of New Auburn, 7 grandchildren: Eric (Tori), Jessica (Alex), Michael (Brandi), Audrey (Tony), Levi (Tessa) Kaylin and Austin; 6 great-grandchildren: Eli, Garret, Leah, Kadyn, Jaremery and Jamie Louise.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents: Gerald and Henrietta Heagle; husbands: Harry and Delmar; and brothers: James and Patrick.

As per Sandy's wishes, there will be no service. Burial will be at Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott, WI at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements.
