Sandra "Sandy" "Sassy" Adams
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend
1963 – 2025
Sandra “Sandy” “Sassy” Adams, age 61, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with breast cancer. A woman full of warmth, strength, and compassion, Sandy dedicated her life to her family, who were at the center of everything she did.
She was born on July 2, 1963, to John and Vernetta (Harings) Schwartz, both of whom preceded her in death, Sandy grew up with a strong sense of family and a joyful spirit that carried through her entire life. She found lasting love with her husband, Joe, and together they built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and support for each other that never wavered.
Sandy wore a lot of titles, but her most special title was Grandma. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, Callum, Clara, and August, getting down on the floor to play, laugh, and create lasting memories. She enjoyed spending her free time gardening, filling her yard with vibrant flowers, delighting in the birds that visited her feeder - although she always wished there were more. Summers at the camper surrounded by family and friends, brought her endless joy. She also loved decorating her home and rearranging the furniture, doing crafts, and taking in the scenic views with Joe. She also had a wonderful eye for beauty. Her nails were always polished and her jewelry always perfectly chosen - reflecting the pride she took in herself and in life’s little details.
Above all, Sandy was a thoughtful woman with a generous heart. Sandy had a special way of making others feel cared for and seen. Whether it was with a kind word, a handmade gift, or simply a listening ear, she was always there for her people.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Joe Adams; her children, Chantel (Kurt) Erickson and Joseph (Jordyn) Adams; her treasured grandchildren, Callum, Clara, and August; and her siblings, Cindy (Joe) Poirier, Tammy (Dennis) Schemenauer, Pam Schemenauer, Barby (Todd) Warren, and Mike (Heather) Schwartz, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Her family is proud of the strength and grace with which she fought her illness, and they will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.
