Ruth Arlene Sopa, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Colfax Senior Living. She was born on October 21, 1940, near Iola, Wisconsin, to Casper and Alma (Larson) Johnson.
Ruth is survived by her children: Michael and Kathryn; and grandchild: Lydia. She was preceded in death by her parents: Casper and Alma Johnson; husband: Florian “Junior” Sopa; and son: Jeffrey.
As per Ruth's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements.
