Ruby Otelia Christianson (Johnson)

Ruby O. Christianson, age 89, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 in Bloomer, Wisconsin. She was born March 15, 1928 in Auburn Township, Chippewa County, Wisconsin to Robert and Olga (Hanson) Johnson. She married Arnold Christianson on June 8, 1946 in Bloomer. Ruby worked as a nurse’s aide at the Bloomer Hospital for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, doing embroidery work, taking road trips and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter: Rhonda (Andy) Candler of Chetek; grandchildren: Jennifer (Kevin) Goulet and Kevin (Krista) Bowe; step-grandchild: Kurt (Davika) Candler; great-grandchildren: Kody (Ashley), Skyler, Kaley, Kyle, Karson and Kamilla.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Olga Johnson; husband: Arnold in 1986; son: Robert in 1982; brother: Robert Johnson; sister: Stella Thompson; special friend: Earl Hanson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
