Obituary for Rosella E. "Rose" Turner

Rosella “Rose” E. Turner, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. She was born on March 1, 1920 in Bloomer to Frank and Clara (Reischel) Daken. She married Vernon Turner on February 25, 1941 in Bloomer. She was a house wife and worked as a cook at several restaurants in the area. She also was a cook for the New Auburn School District. Rose enjoyed crosswords, gardening, putting together puzzles, crafting, sewing, spending time with her family and friends and of course, cooking.

She is survived by one son: Russell (Vae Turner) Turner of New Auburn; two daughters: Alice (Francis) Bohl and Patricia (James) Fenner both of Chippewa Falls; Siblings: Edward Daken of Bloomer and Lucille Nowak of Rio WI; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Clara; husband Vernon; children: Thomas and Marie Turner; brother: Leo Daken; sister: Caroline Peterson; granddaughter: Teri Turner

A Mass and Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Interment will take place at the North Catholic Cemetery following the service. There will be a wake held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, with a Rosary Service at 4:30 PM and a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
