Ronald D. Amundson

Ronald D. Amundson, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Bloomer, WI.

Ron was born on September 21, 1946, in Rice Lake, WI to Ernest and Erma (Olson) Amundson.

On June 30, 1993, Ron married Stephanie G. Wasko, in Pine City, MN.

He worked at Mid-America Dairymen, Inc. as a cheese maker in Rice Lake and Bloomer. Ron also worked Jenni-O Turkey Farms and served as caretaker at Southworth Memorial Barron County Park for 15 Years. Ron had a passion for the outdoors. Spending his free time fishing, camping and hunting. He truly enjoyed tending to the campground and sharing stories with all the campers, many who became life-long friends.

Ron is survived by his wife: Stephanie Amundson; sister: Donna Crawford Moeller; stepchildren: James Peterson, Mark Scott, Kevin Scott and Lisa Krebs; in-laws: John Wasko and Kim Toufar; numerous step-grand and great grandchildren; and K-9 Companion: Angel.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Erma Amundson; siblings: Gary and Irving Amundson and Edward Andmundson in infancy; and step-sons: Michael and Ted Scott.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a short prayer service starting at 1:00 PM.
