Roger Burnell

Roger John Burnell, age 72, passed away with his sister by his side on November 2, 2018 at The Homeplace in Dorchester, Wisconsin. He was born April 1, 1946 in Bloomer to John and Faye (Evans) Burnell. Roger spent his years in various homes, but found his last home at the Homeplace of Dorchester. He loved his coffee, eating M&Ms and mealtime.

He is survived by his brother: Larry Burnell of Springdale CA; sisters: Phyllis Lauderdale (Hitz) of Bloomer and Patricia Kistner of Elk Mound; step-brother: Barry Ness of Menomonie WI; sisters-in-law: Ila Burnell of Cotonsville MD and Patricia Burnell of Eau Claire; guardian: Wendy Retena of Thorp; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Faye; step-mother: Clarice; Brothers: Robert and Gerald; step-brothers: Leonard and Jim; Sisters-in-law; Margie Burnell and Marla Ness; brothers-in-law: Raymond Lauderdale and Roy Kistner.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Rufledt Cemetery in the Town of Bloomer, Chippewa County. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
