Rocky Smutney

Rocky Carlin (Bacino) Smutney, age 52, passed away at 2:10 am Tuesday, June 8th 2010, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis MO. Rocky was born June 16th, 1957 in Rockford IL, and was raised as the son of Patricia (Adrian) and Robert Smutney. His biological father was James Joseph Bacino. Rocky graduated from New Auburn High School in 1976 and was part of the undefeated New Auburn Trojans from 1972-1976. He was a “jack of all trades’, loved motorcycle riding, making people laugh, cooking, cleaning, and most of all he loved building things.

He is survived by son: Kurt (Patty) Smutney of Lehigh Acres FL and their children: Kayla, Stephen, Kelsey and Kerry; son: Jason (Sara) Smutney of Lehigh Acres FL and their children Jason Jr. & Josie; daughter: Natasha Smutney of Augusta GA; daughter: Shaylynn Smutney of Bloomer WI; siblings: Linda (Michael) Waterhouse of Rockford IL, James (Lisa) Smutney of Bloomer, Tina Smutney (Phillips) of Murphysboro IL and Robert (Carla) Smutney Jr of New Auburn WI. He was preceded in death by his mother: Patricia; biological father: James Bacino;
one grandson James Weatherford Smutney.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 6:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home located at 1516 Larson St., Bloomer WI 54724. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until the time of service at the Olson Funeral Home. Following the burial of ashes at the Bloomer Cemetery, friends and family are welcome to a luncheon served at the Blue Moose in Bloomer.
