Robert "Bud" Rands

Robert “Bud” Rands, age 80, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. He was born April 1, 1934 in New Auburn to Lester and Wealthy (Peterson) Rands. He married Delores Pooler on November 19, 1953. Bud served his country in the US Army and worked as a tree trimmer for much of his life. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one son: Randy; three daughters: Pam (Michael) Mars, Pauline (Richard) Boettcher and Penny (Thomas) Spaeth; two sisters: Ramona (Norris) North and Roberta Channing; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Wealthy Rands; wife: Delores; sons: Robert, Jr.; sisters: Linda and Iona; brother: Lester Rands, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Freedom Community Church (formally 7th Day Baptist Church) in New Auburn. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
