Robert Z. "Bob" Nadeau

Robert Z. Nadeau (Bob) passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was born on July 20th, 1949 to Zellery and Georgia (Weghorn) Nadeau. He was raised on the family farm in Beldonville, WI.He graduated from Ellsworth High School and later graduated from UW Stout with a degree in Marketing. In 1969 he volunteered for the draft and served in the army for two years, part of that time was in Viet Nam. In 1972 he married RoxAnn Rosenbrook and two years later they moved to Bloomer, WI.

Robert spent many years trying to find his niche in life during which time he was the loan officer for a few banks including Bremer Bank in Colfax, WI, a substitute teacher in the Bloomer/New Auburn area, and helped his father-in-law, Reuben Rosenbrook with many tasks.

In 1993 he opened his own business in Bloomer. He enjoyed the people that would come in to chat and shared his love of firearms. Due to health issues, he was forced to cut back his time there and eventually retired in 2015.

Bob liked to travel and took his family on many vacations as he had done with his parents and grandparents. His favorite places to visit were the National Parks and historical sites in the western United States. His family shares many fond memories of these times spent together.

Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years: RoxAnn; two daughters: Robin (Robert) Forss and Roberta (Peter) Boleng both of Bloomer; three grandchildren Blake and Brooke Forss, Levi Bloomstrom; his mother Georgia Zirul of River Falls, WI; brother: Donald (Arlyn) Nadeau of Great Falls, MT; sister: Marlene (Paul) Wiseman of Tampa, FL; aunt: Jessie Nadeau of Beldonville, WI; family friend: Randy Solomakas, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father: Zellery Nadeau; stepfather: Julius Zirul; in-laws: Reuben and Maxine Rosenbrook; brother-in-law: Timothy Symes; sister-in-law: Rhonda Williams; granddaughter: Meckensie Boleng.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Home and Cremation in Bloomer. Military honors will be performed at the church by the Bloomer American Legion and VFW.
