Robert R. Mielke, age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was born December 24, 1937 in Chicago IL to Peter and Elsie (Bouzek) Mielke. He married Audrey Knipfer on June 30, 1986 in Chippewa Falls WI. He worked as a dock worker for Roadway Trucking and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and sharing a good story. Studying history was a passion of his, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife: Audrey of Bloomer; son: Robert Mielke of Midland TX; daughters: Cheryl (Mitch) Fujiwara of Surprise AZ and Tracy Mielke of Acworth GA; stepson: Vernon (Angela) Metcalf, Jr. of Menomonie; stepdaughter: Veronica Gettler of Bloomer; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Elsie; brother: Joseph; sister: Marianne Garza
Private family services will be held at a later date.
