Robert Ira Mattson

Robert I. Mattson, age 53, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home. He was born September 29, 1963 in Red Wing MN to James W. and Shirley (Lewis) Mattson, Sr. He married Shelley A. Breezee on March 21, 2002 in Rice Lake WI and they have been together for 26 years. Robert worked as a self-employed carpenter and for the last 8 years he worked for AMP Maintenance in Cameron. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting, woodworking and spending time with his family, his friends. His dog: Diesel and his cat: Twinkie.

He is survived by his father: James of Chetek; wife: Shelley of New Auburn; children: Nathan Mattson of Rice Lake and Ashley D. Mattson of Turtle Lake; one grandchild: Maci Jo; brother: James (Karla) Mattson of Chetek; Sisters: Kathy (Randy) Balts of Eau Claire, Susie McCosley of Florida; Diane Kohls of Cameron, Penny (Peter) Breezee of Chetek; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley Ann Mattson; grandparents: Ira and Virginia Lewis and Robert and Ruth Mattson; niece: Missy Kohls.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 4:00 – 7:00 at the funeral home.
