Robert Ray Lane

Robert Ray Lane, age 86, passed away at the Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He was born on September 12, 1929 the Town of Cook’s Valley to Ray and Lenora (Meier) Lane. He Married Doris Krueger on March 17, 1955 in the Town of Cleveland. He served proudly in the US Army and worked as a mechanic in the Trucking Business. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife: Doris of Bloomer; sons: Jeffrey (Ann) Lane and David (Shelly) Lane both of Bloomer; daughter: LuAnn (Brent) Agnew of Chippewa Falls; brothers: Paul (Frances) Lane and James (Cleo) Lane both of Bloomer; sisters: Ruth Hilger of Chippewa Falls and Alice Lane of Bloomer; grandchildren: Justin (Christina) Agnew, Nicole (Andrew) Nelson, Brennan Lane and Noah Lane; great-granddaughter: Allison Agnew.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Lenora; infant brother: John.

Funeral Services will be held on at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Assembly of God Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 11:00-1:00PM at the church before the service on Saturday. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery following the service.
