Robert Jorgenson

Jun 8, 1943 — Jul 6, 2026

Robert J. "Bobby" Jorgenson, age 83, passed away on July 6, 2026, at 4 Seasons Adult Family Care Center in Bloomer.

Bobby was born on June 8, 1943, in Dunn County, Wisconsin, to Alfred and Florence (Mittlestadt) Jorgenson.

Throughout his life, Bobby's smile and laughter were contagious. He teased those around him often to brighten their days. As a child, he enjoyed having his sister pull him in a wagon to the grocery store, the school playground for merry-go-round rides, and the local creamery, where he developed a lifelong love of ice cream—especially on the Fourth of July. Family time also meant watching his Dad and brothers tinker with cars and tractors in the yard. Bobby loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, horses, fireworks, relaxing with a smoke, an occasional non-alcoholic beer, frogs, and playing ball. He had quite an arm! If he had set his mind to it, his family believed he could have been a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers or a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, his favorite teams. Along with watching sports, Bobby enjoyed bowling and proudly participated in the Special Olympics. His adventures also included scenic car rides, horseback riding, and even an airplane ride.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Shirley Brantner; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Jorgenson; and his brothers, Alfred "Al" Jorgenson Jr. and William "Bill" Jorgenson.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Bubba’s caregivers for the extraordinary love, kindness, and compassion they showed him throughout the years. To them, he was not simply a resident—he was family. They welcomed him into their lives, introducing him to their own families and including him in holidays, celebrations, parades, picnics, crafts, movie nights, Dairy Queen outings, and Green Bay Packers games, both at home and at the local pub. Together they shared countless special moments, from Nerf gun battles to unique handshakes that reflected the deep bonds they formed. The love and joy they brought to Bubba’s life were truly immeasurable, and his family will be forever grateful.
