Robert Durch

Robert W. “Bobby” Durch, age 51, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born November 12, 1958 in Bloomer to Robert & Dorothy (Lambert) Durch. He married Christy Arent on August 2, 1980 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Bobby and Christy owned and operated The Sundial bar and restaurant for almost 20 years. He then worked as a self-employed contractor and carpenter, building and remodeling countless homes in the Bloomer area. He was a member of the Bloomer Moose Lodge, Bloomer Chamber of Commerce, Bloomer Rod & Gun Club and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing cards, spending time with his many friends, his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Christy of Bloomer; two daughters: Alysa Durch and Kayla Durch, both of Bloomer; two grandchildren: Kasheton & Kynnley Durch of Bloomer; Mother: Jean (Dan) Blythe of California; seven brothers: Larry, Daniel, Mark (Rhonda) Durch, Scott (Dolly), Chuck (Lana) & Steven, all of Bloomer, Dennis (Linda) Durch of Cathedral City CA; one sister: Debbie(Mike) Perry of Rice Lake; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Robert & one son: Jeremy Arendt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 – 8:00 on Friday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
