Robert Brown

Robert K. “Brownie” Brown, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his home in Bloomer. He was born June 9, 1926 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to Roy and Mary Margaret Brown. He was married to Sara L. Kline, Eleanor D. Martin and Alverna M. Reischel. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps during WWII and Korea. He worked many years for the Union Railroad. He spent most of his life in Pennsylvania and moved to Bloomer in 1988. He enjoyed golfing, horses, boating, and spending his winters in Arizona. His true love, however, was woodworking, spending countless hours in his shop.

He is survived by one son: Robert Brown, Jr.; one step-son: James (Dorothy “Dot”) Reischel of Chippewa Falls; two step-daughters: Diane (Don) Schindler of Chippewa Falls and Lea (James) Bourassa of Minnesota; one brother: William (Margie) Brown of Pennsylvania; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives: Sara, Eleanor and Alverna; one son: Roy Brown; two brothers: James and Charles Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. There will be a visitation on Friday from 8:00 – 9:30 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
