Ricky D. Monson, age 63, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at a group home in Madison. He was born August 9, 1955 in Eau Claire to Merle and Joann (Plomedahl) Monson. Ricky operated a gas station in Altoona and Chippewa Falls after which he drove truck for Roehl Trucking. He also was a bartender at Mr. Cs in Chippewa Falls. Those who knew Ricky, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. He was a kind soul with a huge heart who would do anything for anybody. He loved cars and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother: Joann Monson of Bloomer; siblings: John (Rhonda) Monson of Fall Creek, Brenda (Tim) Rogge of Bloomer, Tammy (Clint) Wegerer of Eau Claire and Mark Monson of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Merle Monson; grandparents: Richard and Margaret Monson, Joseph and Alma Plomedahl; infant sister: Linda Marie Monson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the home of Brenda and Tim Rogge (19431 Cty Hwy DD, Bloomer) with a time of gathering from 2:00 – 4:00.
