Richard R. Colville, age 84, passed away on March 31,2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer, Wisconsin. He was born August 8, 1928, in Cedar, Iowa to Wilbur and Janet (Richards) Colville. He married Joy Jorgensen on September 7, 1990, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Richard served in the Air Force and worked as a banker for 15 years and was a State Farm Insurance Agent for 25 years. He was the past President and Lieutenant Governor of the Scottsdale Kiwanis Club. He was the past President of the Scottsdale YMCA and also Charter past President of the Phoenix Lion's Breakfast Club. He enjoyed golfing, tending to his flower garden, traveling, collecting autographs, joke telling, being in the Clown Club and playing with his dog, Bumper. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Tilden, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife: Joy of Bloomer; one daughter, Kimberly (Dan) Catlett of Phoenix, Arizona; one son, Chris Colville of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; Glen (Doris) Colville of Surprise, Arizona; brother-in-law; George (Marlys) Shaw of Chippewa Falls; nephews, Steven Shaw of Savage, Minnesota; Daniel (Mitzi) Shaw of Prior Lake, Minnesota; Mark (Dawn) Shaw of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Timothy Shaw of Bloomer, Wisconsin; niece, Victoria (Ceb) Aby of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur and Janet Colville.
A time of gathering will be held on April 12, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer Wisconsin, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at the Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Catholic School in Tilden, Wisconsin.
