Renee Flatten

Renee M. Flatten, age 50, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. She was born August 25, 1958 in Chippewa Falls to William & Sharon (Monpas) Pierce. She married Joseph Flatten on March 28, 1992 in Chetek. She worked for Nichols Homeshield in Rice Lake and enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cribbage, watching NASCAR and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by her mother: Sharon Pierce of Bloomer; husband: Joseph of Chetek; one son: Shane (Jessica Brinkman) Flatten of Eau Claire; one daughter: Christina Flatten of Marshfield; two step-children: Kari Thompson of Chetek & Candida (Joshua) Tucker of Chetek; five brothers: William (Sally Munsch), Brian, Timothy, David (Roxie) & Mark (Tammy) Pierce; three sisters: Rhonda (Mark) Durch, Shari (Chuck) Lang & Sally (Greg) Hethrington; three grandchildren: Kamei Ayidiya, Gavin & Rylea Tucker; maternal grandmother: Alice Monpas of Chippewa Falls; numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: William Pierce.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Bruce Rimmereid officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
