Obituary for Raymond J. Fehr

Raymond J. Fehr, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born on February 12, 1928 in the Township of Cooks Valley to Melvin & Mary (Novak) Fehr. He married Nona Seidlitz on December 9, 1950 in Bloomer. She preceded him in death on April 5, 1977. He married Lois (Prill) Stevens on September 2, 1978 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Raymond was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a member of the church council. He was a dairy farmer and an avid outdoorsman who especially loved turkey & deer hunting and fishing. Raymond loved visiting with his family & friends, and having coffee and playing cards with his buddies at Main Street Café. He was a true Packers & Brewers fan.

He is survived by his wife: Lois; five sons: Bruce (Barb), Darrell (Mary Jo), Roger Anne) , Lee (Linette) & Keith (Arleen) Fehr; one daughter: Nancy Flyen; daughters through marriage: Cheryl (Randy) Rihn, Wendy (Kevin) Harings & Karen (James) Smith; three sisters: Doris Boese, Evelyn (Swede) Zwiefelhofer & Marcella Wright; 35 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way; special friends and neighbors: Dick & Cindy Hofmann; numerous other relatives & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Nona; one infant brother; one grandson: Ben Fehr; one great-grandson: Kalob Fitzpatrick; one son-in-law: Dave Flyen; five brothers-in-law: Walter Boese, Frank Wright, Ray Seidlitz, Lyle Seidlitz & Glenn Prill; one sister-in-law: Beatrice Matott.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. Robert Otto officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
