Phyllis Elaine Moos

Phyllis E. Moos, age 76, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Phyllis was born on November 13, 1946, in Jacksonville, IL to Dale and Frances (Nall) Bourn. On July 11, 1981, Phyllis married Alfred “Butch” Moos in Plainfield, IL.

As a youth, she loved horses and roping. By the time she was 18, she worked with her father in the Texas White Horse Show. She and her husband Al, farmed in the Chippewa area for many years. She was a member of the NFO, the Upper Mid-West Milk Producers and the Green Ribbon Campaign for fair milk prices.

She was a member of the Bloomer United Methodist Church for many years. She served on the church administrative board and also as president of the United Methodist Women. Phyllis directed the play “Is It I, the Lord's Supper” for 10 years at the church. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a very social person and spent many hours playing cards with friends, travelling with friends and was the go-to-girl for any adventure.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Jamie Davis of Kenosha and Julie (Scott) Mueller of Elk Mound, brother: Jim (Deb) Bourn of Blue Springs, MO, sisters: Connie (Fred) Kinnary of Plainfield, IL, grandchildren: Ryan (Brooke), Nicole, Bryanna, Lilly and Kendall, Great Grandchild: Alice Markham and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dale and Frances, husband: Al “Butch”, and niece, Brenda Kinnary Kuhn.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Bloomer United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, on Wednesday at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and also one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday at the church. Interment will be at the Bloomer Cemetery.
