Peggy Sue Cole

Peggy Sue Cole, age 68, of Bloomer, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer.

Peggy was born on January 28, 1958, in Eau Claire, to Claude and Rosella (O’Connell) Rihn. She attended Bloomer High School and Graduated with the Class of 1976. She went on to school at Lakeland Medical Dental Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota graduating in 1978. Peggy was involved in a serious accident in 1991 which left her disabled, but she never let that define her vibrant personality. She mostly lived at Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek and loved all their activities. She enjoyed listening to music, playing bingo, puzzles, pontoon rides and anything outdoors.

Peggy is survived by her mother: Rosella Rihn of Bloomer; three sons: Kenneth Cole, Daniel (Ashley Olson) Cole and Patrick (Hannah) Cole; eight grandchildren: Madisyn, MaKayla, Andrew, Rosella, Payton, Casen, RaeLynn and Ember; seven siblings: Carol Belgarde, Tim (Cindy Larson) Rihn, Tom Rihn, Tony (Sue Mares) Rihn, Mary Vieira, Patti Rihn and Jason Rihn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Claude Rihn; and siblings: Mike Rihn Sr. and Connie Zeltner.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Burial will be at the Bloomer Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family with arrangements.
