Peggy L. Benson

Peggy L. Benson, age 80, passed away at the MCHS in Eau Claire Monday, April 11, 2016. She was born on September 16, 1935 in Chippewa County to Norman and LaVera (Berg) Pritchard. Peggy married Irwin Benson on September, 26 1953 in Bloomer. Peggy worked on the family farm and took care of her family. Peggy loved to be out and about, whether it be going out to eat, volunteering at the nursing home, playing bingo, or spending time with her family and friends, Peggy liked to be around people.

She is survived by her children: Vicky (James) Schindler of Colfax, and Randy (Dawn Peil) Benson of Bloomer; grandchildren: Stephanie (Chris) Dusek, Mandy (Fiancé Richard Brackett) Schindler, April (Mikal Rutten) Benson, Christopher (Fiancé Krystal Onatolu) Benson, and Jason (Elise) Benson; 4 great-grandchildren: Xena Dusek, Max Guthrie and Jaxon Benson, Nikolai Benson; sister: Arlene (Richard) Mohr of Bloomer; brother in-law: Lynn Marquardt of Bloomer; special friends Marty Cunningham; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Irwin; sister: Sandra Marquardt

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
