Patricia J. Goodremote

Patricia June Goodremote, age 84, passed away May 13, 2024, at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer with her family by her side. She was born on June 24, 1939 to Elmer and Florence (Calkins) Rathbun at Bear Lake in Rusk County. On August 9, 1958, Pat married Olaf Goodremote at the United Methodist Church in New Auburn. She worked with Olaf whitewashing barns and running Goodremote Service Station. She was also the New Auburn Village Clerk and the New Auburn Fire Department treasurer for many years before her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering for the New Auburn School District as a school bus helper, among other things. She enjoyed playing hymns on the piano, listening to old gospel music, cooking and baking for her family, gardening, and canning pickles especially. She loved nothing more than being with and helping her family and friends. She was loved and she will be missed dearly.

Pat is survived by her sons: Charles (Cindy) of Racine, Mark of New Auburn, and Michael of Sand Creek; grandchildren: Chad (Kayla) Goodremote, Crystal (Jeremiah) Rankin, Tiffany (Rogelio) Sanchez, Samantha Goodremote, and Danielle Goodremote; great-grandchildren: Khloey Goodremote, Ava Rankin, Alexa Rankin, Lana Sanchez, Vera Sanchez, and Felipe Sanchez; sister: Jacki (Dave) Blasko; niece: Tara (Michael) Brown; nephew: Christopher (JoAnna) Blasko; great-nephews: Ethan Brown, Landon Brown, and Truett Blasko; great-nieces: Aspen Blasko, Annica Blasko, and Ainslee Blasko; numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Olaf; parents: Elmer and Florence Rathbun; sister: Gloria (Robert) Kelly; daughter-in-law: Debra Goodremote.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at New Auburn Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00–7:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, and again from 10–10:30 am on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the New Auburn Cemetery.
