Norris "Ike" North

Norris “Ike” North, age 88, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at MCHS in Bloomer. He was born July 19, 1927 in New Auburn to Arthur and Kittie (Cole) North. He married Ramona Rands on May 4, 1950 in Rapid City SD. Ike worked as a farmer and carpenter. He was an avid New Auburn Trojan fan, attending and supporting the various school activities. He volunteered running the clock for the football games for years and enjoyed sharing his “coaching wisdom”with anyone who would listen. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling, listening to country music and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Ramona of New Auburn; Children: Michael (Pamela) North of New Auburn, Judy (Wayne) Rogge of New Auburn, Jackie (Steve) McCracken of New Auburn, Debbye ((Dieter) Antoni of Holmen and Wayne (Kristine) North of New Auburn; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Kittie North; brothers: Duane, Rodney, Doug and Warren North.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at St. Jude’s Church in New Auburn with Pastor Don and Pastor Charlotte Chroniger officiating. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday at the Church. There will be no visitation Saturday evening.
