Norman J. Schindler, age 67, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 24, 2019. He was born on March 3, 1951 in Chippewa Falls to Louis and Audrey (Moss) Schindler. He married Judith Hughes on June 27, 1970 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn and from that moment on they were an inseparable pair. Norman worked as a self-employed milk hauler. After selling his milk hauling route, he worked for Red Cedar Potatoes and Beskar where he hauled corn and beans. Norman loved to tinker around in his workshop, fabricating all sorts of things. He was strong in his faith and active in all sorts of church activities. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Judi of Sand Creek; mother: Audrey of Colfax; sons: Cory (Wendy) of Elk Mound and Jeff (Julie) of Oconomowoc; brothers: Arlan “Joe” (Cheri) of Tilden and Bruce (Laura) of Colfax; sister: Cherlynn (Jim) Perko of Eau Claire; 4 grandchildren: Alexis, Olivia, Aidan and Jordan; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Louis; brothers: Dale and Delbert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. There will be a visitation on Monday, January 28 at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer from 4:00 - 7:00 PM with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery
