Mildred F. LaMeer, age 94, passed away on Monday, December 07, 2015 at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire. She was born on July 22, 1921 in Benton Harbor Michigan to Harry and Maude (Hartnell) Myers. She married Sheldon LaMeer on October 3, 1944 in Kenosha together they raised their family in Salem. They moved to Tomah in 1976 and retired in Bloomer in 1990. Mildred’s life was filled with many activities, as she always had to be doing something. She loved sewing, crocheting, gardening, family gatherings, including yearly Brewer games and playing cards at every opportunity. She was active in the United Methodist Church and enjoyed the fellowship and sharing her strong faith.
She is survived by her children: Keith (Debbie) LaMeer of Salem WI, Sheldon LaMeer of Bloomer, Joel (Jill) LaMeer of Twin Lakes WI, Dale (Denise) LaMeer of Cornell and Barbara Jarr of Bloomer; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Maude; husband: Sheldon; siblings: Lloyd Myers, Dorothy Master, Mary Scott, Betty Rynearson; grandchild: Ronnie LaMeer; great-grandchildren: Joshuah LaMeer and Danielle Heath.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Home in Antioch IL with a visitation from 11:00-2:00 PM at the Funeral Home in Antioch. In addition, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Bloomer with a time of gathering from 12:00-1:00 PM.
