Obituary for Michael L. Gerner

Michael L. Gerner, age 57, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. He was born April 24, 1954 in Fort Atkinson WI to Leslie and Enola (Schultz) Gerner. He married Carol Randolph on April 6, 1974 in Fort Atkinson WI. He enjoyed being a dairy farmer, going to tractor pulls and auctions, working with animals and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Carol of New Auburn; two daughters: Kari (Scott) Krenz of Bloomer and Kim (Darrell) Przybylla of Independence WI; three brothers: Ed (Bonnie) Gerner of New Glaris WI, Dan (Ann) Gerner of Richland Center WI and Tom (Margie) Mau of Whitewater WI; four sisters: Nancy Gerner of Elgin IL, Gayle (Allen) Pierce of LaCrosse WI, Debbie (Tom) Ferguson of Janesville WI and Sally (Dennis) Wellnitz of Whitewater WI; five grandchildren: Zack, Kailee, Dawson, Morgan and Mason; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Vicki

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Pastor Dale Moe officiating. Interment will be in Our Savior’s Cemetery in Sand Creek. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday
