Bloomer Mavis L. Simmerman, age 90, passed away Friday, January 8, 2015 at Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls. She was born February 18, 1925 in Milwaukee WI to Otto F. and Clara M (Block) Schewe. She married Ross Simmerman in 1945. After his death in 1977 she married Ed Wricha in 1987. Mavis worked at Presto in Chippewa Falls, made screendoors, bartended at Romer’s in Cornell and worked as a clerk at three different K-Marts. She was a big Packer fan and enjoyed reading, doing needlepoint, cross stitching and sewing.

She is survived by two sons: Gene (Darlene) Simmerman of Wausau WI and Eric Simmerman of Apple Valley MN; five grandchildren: Ross Simmerman, Amy (William) Anderson, Ben (Rachael) Simmerman, Christopher Simmerman and Claire Simmerman; two great-grandchildren: Austin and Wolfric.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Otto and Clara Schewe; one daughter: Helen Simmerman; three infants: Christian, Dale and Lee; brother: Otto Schewe; sister: Dawn Schewe.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
